Description
Étapes vers la liberté is a fictional / musical short film about the fear of loss and the slow, painful process of letting go. Told through four characters, representing different stages of mourning, the film follows a woman as she returns to her hometown, mourning the death of a close friend of hers. This picture's "climax" is intentionally long and slow, portraying the honest, daunting, and drawn-out nature of grief. As the film unfolds, its meaning quietly shifts, revealing new layers beneath what first appears. Through raw performances, the film unravels grief not as something external, but as the intimate journey of freeing oneself from who they used to be.
